About Piconex
Piconex is a small company building accommodation management software for college disability services offices — designed with the offices that use it, not for a market they were guessed at from a distance.
Who's behind it
I studied computer engineering at Lehigh University and have been programming for about five years — though I've been tinkering with computers since I was a kid. Building software is what I'm genuinely passionate about, and Piconex is where that meets work that matters to me.
Why disability services
The idea started when I was an RA at Lehigh, looking into housing software. Three different housing directors, independently, told me the same thing: the accommodation software they dealt with was painful to use. That stuck with me, and I started digging into how disability services offices actually run.
It's not a space I landed on by accident, either. I worked with students with disabilities in high school, and people close to me have shaped how much I value the support these students count on. The more I learned about how these offices operate, the more I wanted to build something better for them.
How we build
Piconex is built in close partnership with a university disability services office in eastern Pennsylvania. Every part of the product comes from watching how a real office runs a term — intake, documentation, meetings, accommodations, and faculty letters — and shaping the software around that, one workflow at a time.
How we support you
Because Piconex is small by design, the people who build the software are the people you talk to. There's no ticket queue and no support tier to escalate through — when your office needs something changed or explained, you reach us directly, and we see it through. We'd rather work closely with a few offices than serve many at arm's length.
Let's talk
If your office is thinking about how it manages accommodations, we'd value the conversation.
